What are passive taming skill gains?
For every 0.1 skill you gain from attempting to tame a creature, you earn 0.5 passive skill. However, a player may not exceed more than 5.0 passive skill gains at any given time.
How do I know if I have passive gains to spend?
Use Animal Lore on any creature or pet and a pop-up will appear displaying various creature information.

How do I spend passive skill gains?
"Spend" passive skill gains by killing creatures with your pets.
Note - You have a chance to spend a passive skill gain anytime you kill a creature, but creatures with a higher difficulty rating have an increased chance to spend a passive skill gain.
Khal Draco Tip - To spend passive skill gains quickly, ask a guildmate or kindly ask other players in the world if you can follow them around and "spend passive points". Simply attack any pets they are killing, the amount of damage does not impact your chance at spending a passive gain.

Yes, maximum skill gain per creature depends on your current animal taming skill level.
0-50 Taming: 5.0 per creature

90-119.9 Taming: 0.2 per creature
Note: You will never gain if the creature was previously tamed and then released, Or if you're standing inside a house when attempting to tame.

Do I need to feed my pets in uo outlands?
No, feeding pets on uo outlands is not necessary.
What is a "bonded Pet" and how can I bond a pet?
A "bonded pet" is a pet that is yours to keep, when it dies it will turn into a ghost and can be resurrected with magery, veterinary, or an NPC (non-player character) healer.
- All tamable creatures can be leveled to level ten (10).
- all pets begin at level zero, and can gain levels by killing creatures with them.
- Pets will bond after reaching level 1.
- pack animals can not be bonded.
- pets will recall/hike with the owner.
- pets will become untamed, unbonded, and deleted after 24 hours if they are left unattended.
